Benefits Main limits and conditions on benefits*
Credit Protector Plus
Upon the Event of Your death, We will pay the Outstanding Balance of Your American Express Credit Card Account. Payments include any charges incurred before your death, which have not yet appeared on Your American Express Credit Card Account statement, and any interest due on the Outstanding Balance at the time of Your death.

 

The maximum amount payable is $60,000. If a claim is made under the Death Benefit, no further benefits are payable under the Policy.

Credit Protector Plus
 We will pay the Outstanding Balance of Your American Express Credit Card Account at the date of the accident.

 

The maximum amount payable is $60,000.

You have suffered an Accidental Injury or Sickness which entirely prevents You from engaging in and drawing an income from Your Usual Employment for more than thirty (30) consecutive days; and were in permanent employment immediately prior to that Accidental Injury or manifestation of the Sickness .
 

Credit Protector Plus

We will make monthly payments towards the Outstanding Balance of Your American Express Credit Card Account. Payment will be calculated at eighteen-percent (18%) of the Outstanding Balance payable on Your American Express Credit Card Account as at the date of Your Involuntary Unemployment. Payments for Income Replacement Benefit will cease when:
(a) You return to work; or
(b) the maximum amount payable of $60,000 has been reached; or
(c) the Outstanding Balance of Your American Express Credit Card
Account at the time of Accidental Injury or Sickness is paid,
whichever first occurs. A thirty (30) day Waiting Period may apply.


The maximum amount payable is $60,000. This payment will take account of any other payments made under the Policy.

 

You are are registered with the New Zealand Government employment agency (eg: Work and Income New Zealand - WINZ) as unemployed and seeking employment, not as a result of termination due to wilful misconduct or retirement; or unemployment due to the completion of seasonal, project or specific period employment; or voluntarily resignation or You are Self-employed

 

Credit Protector Plus

We will make monthly payments towards the Outstanding Balance of Your American Express Credit Card Account. Payment will be calculated at eighteen-percent (18%) of the Outstanding Balance payable on Your American Express Credit Card Account as at the date of Your Involuntary Unemployment.
 

 

The maximum amount payable is $60,000. A thirty (30) day Waiting Period applies. This payment will take account of any other payments made under the Policy.

 

Credit Protector Plus 
 We will make 2 monthly payments of 6% of the Outstanding Balance of Your American Express Credit Card at the time of a Life Event, for up to 2 Life Events, including getting married or divorced, adopting child(ren), buying a new house or relocation, change of employer, to a maximum of $25,000.
